A Year Off Processed Foods: How I Took Back My Metabolic Health

About a year ago, I committed—truly committed—to healthy eating with very few lectins and zero processed foods. The transformation has been nothing short of life-changing.



Intermittent Fasting Finally Works



I created a simple morning break- fast formula that supports intermittent fasting, and for the first time in decades my weight is stabilizing naturally.

Hunger is no longer a constant battle.


Satiation—actually feeling full—is becoming a familiar, almost surprising sensation. I’m eating far less, yet feeling better than I ever have.



Gut–Brain Communication: Back Online



Once I cut out processed foods, something incredible happened:

The communication pathways between my gut bacteria and my brain finally cleared up. Did you know your gut bacteria ( your micro biome ) are responsible for sending your brain the “I’m full messages ?” Well neither did I. It’s incredible how important eating for your biome truly is and let’s face it - it’s not exactly common conversation.


After decades of struggling, denying, trying, and failing, my system is no longer hijacked. I feel aligned, functional, and alive again.


Everything we eat now is from scratch if at all possible. Our dressing is a clean blend of vinegar and olive oil fortified with turmeric extract (95% curcumin!) and brightened with white pepper to boost anti-inflammatory effects and absorption.



The Oils Matter



We ditched all seed oils and processed vegetable oils.

Instead, we cook with:


  • Raw coconut oil

  • Avocado oil

We use virgin olive oil — for salads.

Our favorite ingredients are :


  • Arugula

  • Napa, Savoy, or green cabbage

  • Raw bok choy

  • Endives



The subtle bitterness of the greens combined with a honey balsamic vinegarette is absolutely heavenly.

Our Morning Routine
