Who knew the west coast of Florida would be so different than the east coast?

Falling in love with south west Florida is so easy. You get to meet the coolest mid Westeners , and folks from all over really. The laid back vibe here is incredibly inviting to so many.

I adore it after so many decades kicking it full throttle in the fast paced reality of New York . My soul soaks up the sun and the nature here like a thirsty sponge. It renews me daily hearing the birds and watching them fly all around and dolphins and manatees play in the canal , I can see them from the pool ! nature is everywhere here and it resets our internal rythms . It’s a very healing place. It’s very grounding to see all the palms and explore the many nature preserves. One feels very connected here. I find once over the draw bridge in MATLACHE , Island Time truly takes over. Serenity is about relaxing, enjoying, and as sip my morning Verba mate tea , some dolphins have come to feed. Birds are singing , the morning dove ggreets eus r ee s and we invite you to take a step way from the everyday and unplug, unwind and say ta ya to stress.

We’ve met awesome folks from Ohio, St Louis, Michigan, Minnesota and even from as far as the Pacific Northwest. The diversity is as refreshing as a dip in the gulf waters at Cayo Costa this past weekend.

In addition to inclusive retreat intensives we occaisionally offer self guided B&B Reteats.e’s a beautiful

couple who decided to drive down and enjoy a relaxing B&B weekend, catch some local Music and boat over to the beach. It was wonderful !

Serenity was designed from the ground up to be an oasis of joy, where visitors could feel at ease in a home away from home atmosphere. There’s a bit of poach but no pretension. Decades in hospitality has been a gift , and our lives have been so enriched hosting folks from all over. Sharing experiences and stories around the fire pit has seen many a magical evening pass under the stars.

We welcome all with open hearts, and while they may have arrived as Guests, they leave cherished friends.
